IBM's Software Value Plus

On November 3, 2009, IBM announced a major change in the way that IBM software will be purchased. The changes will go into effect January 25, 2010.

What are the changes?

Today, the majority of IBM's software is sold under an Open Distribution model. This means that just about any reseller organization can sell all of IBM's software products, with the exception of some recent acquisitions.

Starting in January, many of IBM's software products will require a Business Partner to be authorized by IBM to sell them. This move will better enable IBM software customers to work with Business Partners who have invested in the necessary skills to architect, implement and support those IBM products.

Is SIS Ready?

YES! Thanks to SIS's deep investment in software architecture and implementation skills, SIS is absolutely ready to support you under this Software Value Plus strategy.
